Football Supporters Europe (FSE), the European Parliament’s LGBTI Intergroup and the Sports Intergroup are pleased to announce that the findings of the OUT! project and its good practice handbook will be presented at an online event on Friday, 11th December from 10:00 to 12:00.
OUT! is a unique 18-month collaborative partnership that brings together national football associations, leagues, clubs, and fans with the aim of challenging discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity and empowering LGBT+ stakeholders in football. It is co-funded by UEFA and the Erasmus+ programme of the European Union.
The event is hosted by MEPs Malin Bjork (LGBTI Intergroup) and Tiziana Beghin (Sports Intergroup), while the head of the European Commission’s sports policy unit, Yves Le Lostecque, will also be present. In addition, it will involve contributions from key project partners, including Pride in Football and the Royal Belgian Football Association (RBFA).
There will be a panel session with Sarah Gregorius (Strategy and Policy Officer, FIFPro), Thomas Hitzlsperger (DFB Ambassador for Diversity), Minky Worden (Director of Global Initiatives, Human Rights Watch), and Joe White (Co-founder, 3 Lions Pride) on international football competitions and the safeguarding of LGBT+ stakeholders.
The event will be streamed via Facebook Live and open to all. If you would like the moderators to ask any questions of the participants, please submit them via this Google Form.
